Mobius Final Fantasy Wiki

Cards 2563 & 2564 are listed as "[[]]", but really are "Chaos, Walker of the Wheel Sicarius" (the 3rd gen wind sicarius card introduced in Nov 2018). I have the card and can list the stats; however, I don't know how one goes about adding a new card. Richter (talk) 18:28, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the info. Usually its me to complete the table when I have the related infos, but I am a bit out of time these days or better I take some days off from work with less time at the pc. I think I add it in a few minutes - Bryghtshadow already created the card page if I saw right. But you can do this here too - its only a very very very large table sorted by card number - find the right position and add the info in the right line. The "[[]]" is only a placeholder for the card number in the table. Greetz --Lydhia (talk) 00:14, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. I saw the card was added and the table updated; I made one minor modification to correct a typo in the table (the 5-star card number is 2564 rather than 2449, which is the Leviathan sicarius). And on behalf of all Mobius FF players, thank you for keeping this wiki up to date.Richter (talk) 14:47, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

Old infos[]

No.323 is not Heartful Egg, it's Vanille & Fang: FFRK instead. I haven't finished the related augment so I don't know the right order. Someone please fix it. Lqszmc (talk) 06:47, 7 Oct 2016 (UTC)

Okay, found something weird. I didn't know that some of the cards actually duplicate their names, even with different properties. Should we create different cards (like Dust Mage (Wind) and Dust Mage (Water)), or do we add a different description in the card details ? Katsu` (talk) 17:57, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

One way to do it is to have every card have its own page (ie. Dust Soldier (C1), Dust Soldier (C135)), and within those pages have all augmented versions of the same base card kept there as well (so the Dust soldier that is card #42 will link to Dust Soldier (C1) since it is just the augmented form). That or we can just make every single card its own page. FE FOREVER (talk) 20:11, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

I added all the 3* ability store / rare summon cards today (8/7/2016). One of the cards, Gnome, is using a slightly different template which I think looks better in the long run? If anyone would care to compare Gnome to any of the other cards and let me know which you prefer, the rest can be updated to match. FE FOREVER (talk) 01:26, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

I think it's clearer than the others, but you should probably change the size of the icons, the text is a bit hidden. Katsu` (talk) 01:47, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Agreed. Downsized icons to 20 px (about half size) and the results are looking better. I'll be going through and updating all the cards I did yesterday and starting on the lower rank cards. FE FOREVER (talk) 16:42, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

I wonder, why some cards get (Card) in their name and some do not? Is it just a mistake, or is there a logical reason ? Katsu` (talk) 18:39, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Every Card should have (Card) in its name, if some have been forgotten its an oversight (I tend to do a lot of pages at the same time, so errors will pop up :S) Feel free to use the move function to correct any inconsistencies you find FE FOREVER (talk) 02:02, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Multiple Tables?[]

Since we have a rarity column on the table, do we want to combine all the tables into one? it will make it easier to find what's missing if the Card Numbers are lined up. Vercanos (talk) 01:36, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

That's actually a possibility, I've been struggling a bit to fill out the table since the numbers are kinda all over. The main problem I have with this is that the table tools are a bit wonky and don't seem to like moving around large swathes of data. FE FOREVER (talk) 02:02, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

When talking about table tools are you referring to like the sort column on the finished page or visual editor? I'm in charge of a 337 row table on another site that uses hidden data, so I have to always edit in source editor, so I'm used to moving around large amounts of data. If you want I can merge the tables pretty quickly. Vercanos (talk) 02:17, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

If you want to try moving everything into one super table, we can try it and see how it looks. I'm kind of in favor of the finished project having different rankings under different headings though, purely because on mobile that makes them different collapsable tabs that make things a little easier to load and scan quickly. I'm not the admin though, so I'll defer to him. FE FOREVER (talk) 02:45, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

I've moved everything to one table. Thoughts? Vercanos (talk) 04:35, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

We've got a little bit of a problem, because we use a non-number value "-", the table sorts by text value, as opposed to numerical value, ie) it is sorted from left to right. So each number is treated like a letter. Like how A > AB in text values, 9 > 10, because 9 > 1. This only becomes a problem when the numbers don't have the same number of digits, so like 9 vs. 10 in the Skillseed column. There is a way to sort the numbers correct, and while fairly easy, will take a bit of time. We'll need to add |data-sort-value="9" | in front of every cell in the source editor of the table. So (|data-sort-value="9" |9) for 9 Skillseeds, and (|data-sort-value="10" |10) for 10 Skillseeds. We'll have to do this for Attack, Break, and all 6 Skillseeds and possibly Crit Chance for every single card. While this looks fairly nice, it becomes difficult for others to add to the table correctly. I'm neutral in this choice, so you and Katsuxx should decide. Vercanos (talk) 10:05, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

When it comes to the content, I'm just a simple contributor, so you can decide by yourself if you find a consensus. But here is my thoughts : I agree with FE FOREVER that having different tables is a bit more mobile friendly, and better in the long run when 1000 cards will be available, but in the other hand, moving everything in one table allow people to sort by card number. So I'm coming with 2 solutions. We can let the tables, I think it's better than having one, or we can create 2 pages : a page with all the tables, like it was, and a page with a single table with all the cards. The second solution is maybe the best to make everyone happy, whether mobile and desktop users, but it will require twice more work when people will add a card. For the values problem, it only comes when you try to sort by skillseed right? I think we've no choice, we can't really let a table broken. I agree it will require more work to add a card with the source editor, but they won't add 250 cards per batch (I hope). Katsu` (talk) 13:45, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Global now has 1055 cards in the collection! Speaking of maintaining tables when cards are added, will this wiki ever use SMW or similar? --BryghtShadow (talk) 11:40, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

So I've been looking in game, and the terms we have been using don't match up to what's in game. For example, the Pink Orbs are known as Life Orbs, and the Pink element is known as Life. You can see this in the Sort Criteria menu. The "type" for those Cards is known as Support, but we have it listed as All. We also sometimes swap Ice and Water, when Water is the name of the Element and Orb in-game. Vercanos (talk) 01:43, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

I have changed the front page table to be consistent with in-game terms. The individual card pages will need any instances of those terms corrected though, where necessary. If someone wants to do that, I'd appreciate a break from the card pages... FE FOREVER (talk) 02:07, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Okay, references to (Ice) have been changed to (Water) anywhere I could find them, and the links have been changed to make sure they go to the right place. FE FOREVER (talk) 21:16, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Support has been changed to Healer in the filter (I noticed this before Monk was introduced, but not sure when exactly). The key at the bottom below the "Auto-Sell Filters" button still says "Support". Probably doesn't help that "Healer" is one of the multiplayer roles.
